Craig Schultz, founder of Bridge City Homes, has returned to his Northwest roots and since 1996 has been building homes in the Portland area. Prior to his return, Craig was building award winning luxury custom homes in some of the world’s most prestigious communities – Beverly Hills, Brentwood and Santa Monica, California for some of the world’s most demanding and discriminating clients. Along with this unique exposure and background, Craig brings excellent credentials to the custom home market: Oregon State Certified "Master Builder". Twenty-five years experience. Bachelors Degree in Construction Management. Masters Degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. Builder of LionHeart Manor– 2002 Street of Dreams home. As only the 14th builder to attain this designation, we are quite proud of our Master Builder license (#014MB) issued by the State of Oregon. What is a Master Builder? A Master Builder is a builder who has a documented record of excellence with governmental building officials, clients, lenders, subcontractors and suppliers. This builder must also complete a comprehensive educational program and pass a rigourous test administered by the State of Oregon (the same test required of governmental building inspectors and plan reviewers). Once obtained, this license must be maintained by meeting on-going educational requirements. What does this mean to you? As a Master Builder licensed with the State of Oregon, Craig Schultz, founder of Bridge City Homes, is recognized by both the state and local jurisdictions as having exceptional skills, knowledge and integrity. As a result, local jurisdictions, in many cases, will allow us to perform plan review and inspections on their behalf, thus expediting the building process.
